Update the HTC software from 1.32.651.1 to 1.32.651.6 - 2010/6/4

I just started playing with my EVO today, more than two weeks later after I got it~~ I let my Droid to serve me full-month until Verizon cut the connection today / around 1pm.
But after playing HTC's new toy couple hours, I notice there is a severe issue in this giant EVO:
- ASTRO app "deletes" directories and files - I open a file, but the related app cannot handle it (I guess it is due to SD card reading/writing error); I return and the file disappers in ASTRO
- camera app complains "Unable to save file to SD card due to insufficient file permissions"
- gallery app sees no pictures
- WordPress app cannot upload any file saved in album
HTC EVO is running the same system as Motorola Droid, which is Android 2.1 - thus, Google is not the person to blame.
Over the internet, there are many similar reports (1,2) and some people even used their own MicroSD card and got the same error, suggesting SanDisk is the person to blame.
IT IS HTC and SPRINT's fault!
This HTC EVO has powerful hardware, and shipped with a lot of apps from HTC and Sprint. I like some from HTC, such as FriendStream, Footprints, Scenes, etc. But the ones from Sprint: navigation, nascar, zone, football, ... so annoying / cannot delete them; if you just open two of them, the entire phone is as slow as XXXX - which I never experienced on my Motorola Droid! Also, with HTC Touch Input, I cannot input Chinese - I installed Google Pinyin, enabled in Settings; but cannot find a way to enable/switch to it in the input interface!!
Anyway, I think it is the software modification made by HTC and Sprint causing this "dismount/disappearing defect of MicroSD card" on EVO. When it happens, the work around is to reboot the phone or go to "Settings - SD & phone storage - Unmount SD Card". (Because of HTC Sync, I cannot use the USB cable to trigger umount/remount SD Card action.)
Well, well, well. I am very looking forward to the release of how to ROOT and install Froyo on this HTC EVO!
I have rooted EVO and in progress of Froyo test drive ...
Cannot get sogou input to work either!
To switch the input, long press the input/text area, then you will get an option to switch the input method. Cheers~~
