I support Win7, because it is the BEST os from Microsoft

I intalled Win7 on three of my old laptops/desktops and get them running notably faster (>20%) and smoother. No more hardware upgrade and take the advantage of the best operation system from Microsoft.

What I see is that Apple's softwares have not been optimized to run under windows. The reason is obvious. Apple wants sell Mac and his softwares must only be optimized for Mac.

What I see the upgrade is a good opportunity to backup my data on the Windows XP. I have installed three copies of Win7 and they went well. Two replaced the old Windows XP, and the other run as the second OS. It is definitely NOT "an arduous process to upgrade to Windows 7".

Philip Elmer-DeWitt saying that "Will Windows 7 boost Apple sales? Over the past decade, Mac shipments have grown with nearly every new Microsoft release".

He is right on the Vista thing, which was terrible. But, Win7 is different. Give a try and you will love it.
