Mu-ming Poo
University of California, Berkeley
"Development of neuronal polarity"
In Mu-ming's talk, I realize that my favorite theory "global inhibition, local excitation" was pioneered by Alan M. Turning's study on pattern formation. His original theory is "Local autocatalytic activation and long-range inhibition" ("The Chemical Basis of Morphogenesis." Phil. Trans. R. Soc. London B 237 (1952): 37-72. Rpt. in The Collected Works of A. M. Turing: Morphogenesis. Ed. P. T. Saunders. Amsterdam: North-Holland, 1992.).

the audio quality was not good. But really admire you to record the whole thing, hehe:p
good job!
how is the cGMP/cAMP being manipulated in vivo in Poo's talk? genetic or pharmacological? ip injection for mom and look at the pups?
I want to minimize the processing work I need to do - no adjustment.
He used beads coated with drugs.
