find a "good" announcement plugin for wordpress with mimbo theme

I need some announcement function for the blog. Based on a quick search on wordpress, four came to my attention. I tested them, and finally Genki won!

my comment: this one is not exactly the one I need. It keeps a post in the top, but not to display specific notes on the page.

my comment: it works, but I don't want everyone have to close something before viewing my blog. Although, it might be useful in sometime.

my comment: the setting is too complicated, and not work out-of-the box. As shown above, it destroyed my mimbo front-page lay-out.

* display message without editing theme files (above 1st post or through widget)
* display different message to different roles/users
* timer to switch on & off announcement (only in WP 2.1 and above)

my comment: it works as I wanted, display some thing either in the widget or specific location, very flexible and works out-of-box.
