看看以下的这片blog吧。呵呵,新闻从来就是为政治服务的;而言论自由是有前提的。
from Wonder!
Several people sent some information about to graduate student(gsc) mailing list during the weekend and then some other people on Israel side fought back. On Mon, Mideast topic was stopped by the director of graduate school, who threated to cut off their access to that list. His reason is the gsc list is EXCLUSIVELY for academic use. Then people who concern about innocent civilians on both sides created a mailing list at yahoo!. Suddenly, an email about the "Late Show" showed up in the list without signature. My friend and I traced the full name of that guy, whose family name highly implies that is a Jewish.
Now the school threat the organizer to stop using Einstein's mail server to stop sending emails related to the war, otherwise his Internet connection will be cut off.

Dear all,
I appreciate this site and all the participants and i deeply thank Mana
for her initiative and her humanity and empathy to others.
The level of indifference and almost rudness that i have witnessed, along
with my fellow Lebanese friends here at Einstein, has been deeply
disturbing to us. I understand people's different views on political
issues and opposing stands when it comes to very complicated and sensitive
international affairs. What i do not understand is the level of denial and
ignorance that people choose to hide behind and adopt in order to shield
their sensitivity which only leads to an inhumane population, a paralyzed
generation in the country that preaches on democracy and morality (i am
sure you heard Bush's speech on vetoing stem cell research arguing that
this is a nation of morality, right after he vetoed a cease fire plead to
save innocent children and civilians).
All i was addressing was the humanitarian side of a war that is taking
place and of a country torn apart by destruction and mass killings. i was
calling for a rally for peace and i never expected a reaction like the one
i recieved. in response to the GSC emails, my internet was cut yesterday.
i stopped that and i was emailing requests for help to a small list of my
friends at einstein. i was just informed by the school that the dean and
the president of Yeshiva would like me to stop using the einstein email
server to send emails (this not gsc i'm talking about, this is a list i
pasted together) otherwise they would shut down my internet (and who knows
what else).
At this point, reaching out has only turned out to be depressing and
frustrating. i am sad and scared for our children. what has become of this
world we live in? on the way to the UN yesterday, i came accross so many
banners, Genocide in Congo, genocide in Iraq, Genocide in Palestine... the
world has gone numb..A world where a medical student or a scientist
replies to his fellow student's cry for help while her family and country
might be dead soon, please do not bother me with this... is a world that
does not interest me and is a world that i won't turn to for help. A world
that turns the other way in front of atrocities committed to human beings
is a world gone mad.
i will cease to send you any kind of information or any article that
projects the reality or what you consider is my point of view. if you care
enough you can access all the information you need online anyway.
i will just provide the date and place of our soon to come peace march to
stop the killing of innocent civilians in the middle east once we organize
it.
May God help the world
thank you
Mirvat El-Sibai
